Bills coming like flies to honey, my ideas are coming just as fast.
I’d take an idea and run with it. And to my surprise, cricket vibes entered the chat. And then she shows up. You know the one, the girl from your small group who got saved what feels like five minutes ago, and somehow she already has an idea and she's doing something with it. She has a logo. A website. People are following her. She’s making money, like it’s no big deal.
Meanwhile, I serve God and I’m trying to figure out where I went wrong. When I step out my website gives the most disrespectful silence ever and my bank account laughs at another failed attempt while I cry and wonder. I sat with this in my thoughts wondering what made me different from her.
Then, I realized, it was my lack of clarity. If my idea took off, it would’ve destroyed me. A good name is better than silver and gold. My name wouldn’t have been good. I knew what I was called to do, but didn’t know how to make it clear enough for people to understand. I had 10 products with no real purpose. Without clarity, there’s clutter and confusion and confused people don’t convert.
God was hiding me. You get one time for a good first impression. One. And he wants it to be grand. He gave me time to get my brand together with the idea he gave me and that starts with a clear message. One audience. One core offer and words my people actually recognize. And that’s why I now help aspiring faith-filled entrepreneurs build a brand that glorifies God.
